Online Sources

Online Sources - Online sources should always contain a URL at the end of the reference if no DOI is available (Chapter 15, 15.4-6, p. 139-143; Chapter 17, 17.7, p. 197) and (Chapter 19, 19.2, p. 246; Chapter 19, 19.1.10, p. 245).

Formatting

DOI - All sources should include the DOI if available (Chapter 15, 15.4-6, p. 139-143) and (Chapter 19, 19.1.10, p. 245).

DOI Format - The DOI label should be in all lower case (e.g., DOI) (Figure 16.1, p. 148) (Chapter 17, 17.1.10, p. 181) and (Chapter 19, 19.1.10, p. 245). 

Print Books - For electronic version of print books the version should be indicated immediately after the page numbers (Chapter 17, 17.1.10, p. 181).

URL - The URL for electronic books should link directly to the book (Chapter 17, 17.1.10, p. 181).

No DOI for Article

No DOI for Article - When no DOI is available for electronically obtained journal, magazine, or newspaper articles the URL for the journal, magazine, or newspaper should be used in lieu of the DOI preceded by the words 'Accessed' and date(Chapter 15, 15.4.1.2, p. 140).
